Jennifer Lawrence checks out the new JR show

The Red Sparrow star dropped by New York's Perrotin gallery to take in her friend’s show

JR’s first solo show in New York is on at the moment, and has drawn down some pretty high-profile visitors to the city’s Perrotin gallery.

Grammy-award winner Alicia Keys has already played the opening party – a performance Massimo Bottura captured on his smartphone. However, more of JR’s high-profile friends have been dropping in since the opening too.

A couple of days ago the Hollywood actress Jennifer Lawrence came by the show. It’s not the first time that The Hunger Games and Red Sparrow and star and JR have hung out in a high culture setting; he showed her around the Palace of Versailles about this time last year.

Back then, Lawrence’s golden gown suited Versaille's hall of mirrors perfectly. However, in NYC, her jeans and t-shirt are a better fit for this JR show, which feature 30 new works, including a new electric train set installation, in which the carriages line-up to form the image of an eye.
