Hélène Binet, Composing Space

The architect's photographer of choice, Hélène Binet

Binet's work is the subject of a series of exhibitions this year, starting at the Venice Biennale

Since her days at the Istituto Europeo di Design in Rome, Hélène Binet has become one of the world’s leading architectural photographers. Her work for architects such as Peter Eisenman, Daniel Libeskind, Peter Zumthor, Zaha Hadid and Luigi Moretti has resulted in images about the relationship with light, shadow and textures - forming an intimate investigation of the subject and emphasising materials and scenery.

This autumn, her landscape and architectural photography is the subject of a series events and exhibitions. Starting with the 13th Architecture Biennale in Venice, Binet's Photography will be exhibited at the Padiglione Venezia. Phaidon Press will be marking the occasion by launching "Composing Space: The Photographs of Hélène Binet" with a new limited edition book launch on August 29 18.00-20.00 at the Ex convent die Serviti. Concurrently, Gabrielle Ammann Gallery will be presenting selected works form 2004 to 2012 in Cologne as part of the IPK festival from September 20 to November 2.
