To ensure that you have an exceptional experience with Phaidon's customer service, please find below our terms of service.

  • All orders on Phaidon.com adhere to privacy and security standards.
  • You will receive an order confirmation and your payment option will be automatically charged at the time of purchase.
  • Online orders are typically processed within 2-3 business days and shipped within 5-10 business days. You will receive a tracking number via email for all orders within North America, Europe, and Asia. Australian orders will receive a text via AUSPOST
  • Requests for refunds and returns should be made within 14 days of receiving your shipments.

Phaidon.com accepts Visa, Delta, Mastercard, American Express, Paypal, Apple Pay, and Google Pay. If you are using a credit or debit card you will be asked to enter your card details as part of the ordering process. Once your order is placed, your payment options will be charged and you will receive an order confirmation.

Does Phaidon.com store my payment-card details?

Phaidon.com doesn’t store your card details. Our payment provider, Shopify Pay adheres to the strictest security and data-privacy standards to protect you and your information.

In which currency will my credit card be billed?

You will be billed in the currency associated with your billing address:

  • British Pounds (GBP £)
  • Euros (EUR €)
  • Canadian Dollars (CAD $)
  • Australian Dollars (AUD $)

Will my purchase be taxed?

Order shipped to some states in the USA will incur an additional sales tax. Orders shipped to countries outside of the European Union, North America, or Australia may incur further customs charges due on delivery.

Pricing

Pricing does not include delivery. At purchase, an additional delivery charge, which will vary according to the delivery method, will be added to your purchase.

All prices are expressed exclusive of any VAT or other sales-tax payable unless otherwise stated.

Availability

All orders are subject to availability and we cannot guarantee the availability of any specific products listed on Phaidon.com and our partner websites.

In the event that we discover that goods are unavailable after an order has been placed, Phaidon will send you notification by email giving you the option to modify or cancel your order.

Free Shipping - for a limited time only

Please note that free shipping only applies to orders being shipped to USA, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, United Kingdom, Ireland, Austria, Belgium, Denmark, France, Germany, Italy, Netherlands, Portugal, and Spain.

Free shipping does not apply to limited edition prints or home decor.

Your order will be shipped from one of our warehouses in the USA, UK, or Australia or from one of our partners.

All delivery times quoted on Phaidon.com are estimated and based on availability and normal processing and delivery time via our carriers.

Monacelli titles are shipped separately via Penguin Random House. If your order contains multiple items, which include Monacelli books, these books will arrive separately. Monacelli titles are currently only available for shipping in the USA and Canada.

Artspace orders are shipped globally from our partners. You will receive a separate email confirmation from Artspace.com. Artspace and Phaidon orders are shipped separately.

European Orders

Phaidon pays all customs and duties for deliveries into Europe in order to reduce any delays to your shipments. However, please be aware that delays will vary from country to country depending on the local customs regulations and requirements. You may be required to provide ID or proof of purchase to facilitate release of your order. Please contact us if you have any questions concerning your order.

Tracking your order

Once your order has been shipped, you will receive a shipping email giving tracking details. For Australian and New Zealand orders, you will receive a text from AUSPOST once your order has been despatched.

PO Boxes

We are unable to deliver to PO boxes at this time.

Multiple Address Shipments

We are not able to facilitate multi-address shipping at this time. Please use the Contact Us form for further assistance.

Pre-orders

If you have ordered a book in advance of its publication date, it will ship on the date listed on phaidon.com. If your order contains a combination of books that are currently available and pre-orders, your books will arrive separately. We will notify you if there are significant delays in pre-ordered items.

If for any reason you are unhappy with your books, you can return them to Phaidon for an exchange or refund, providing each is returned to one of Phaidon’s returns-processing centers in new condition within 14 days from the date of delivery.

Please include a copy of your email order confirmation or a note with your order number.

If your order has come from Random House, Ingram, or an Artspace partner, please refer to the paperwork included in your shipment for the correct returns process.

With the exception of books that are received in damaged condition, you are responsible for the cost of returning goods for refund or exchange, and we will not refund the delivery charge for sending the item to you.

Phaidon recommends that you use registered post or recorded delivery and secure packaging when returning goods. Phaidon will use reasonable efforts to replace damaged or defective goods but if replacement is not possible, Phaidon will refund the amount paid by you.

Please note that Phaidon Collector’s Editions are sold on a non-returnable basis and may not be returned unless received in damaged condition.

Digital gift cards may be purchased with no fee in denominations of 50, 100, and 200 in the following currencies:

The digital gift card is sent to the purchaser immediately after purchase and can be forwarded to the gift-card’s recipient with a personal message.
