Phaidon is at the New York Art Book Fair this weekend at MoMA PS1. Come down to meet us and our authors
Give praise, New Yorkers. The ninth annual New York Art Book Fair takes place this weekend. The event, which previewed yesterday evening and opens officially at 11am today at MoMA PS1 in Long Island City, Queens, brings together over 350 publishers, booksellers, artists, and institutions from 28 different countries. It's put together by Printed Matter, a non-profit organization dedicated to the dissemination, understanding and appreciation of artists’ books; it is the world's leading event for for art books, catalogues, monographs, periodicals, and zines; and its free!
Aside from all the wonderful publications on offer, visitors will get to meet a variety of artists and authors, and can attend talks, workshops and signings, and catch a number of live acts and activists. Drop by Phaidon's stand at Booth S05, to take a look at our latest publications and hear about what's coming up next from us. At 1pm on Saturday, Peter Plagens will be signing his wonderful new book Bruce Nauman: The True Artist, and on Sunday at 1pm Danny Lyon will be signing copies of his new monograph The Seventh Dog as well as his beautiful study of rural China, Deep Sea Diver.
