75% of the proceeds from the sale of this work will directly benefit The Fresh Air Fund. Since 1887, The Fresh Air Fund has unlocked the limitless potential of more than 1.8 million New York City children from low-income communities. Each year, nearly 7,000 children enjoy outdoor summer adventures through visits with volunteer host families along the East Coast and Southern Canada and at The Fund’s five overnight camps in Fishkill, NY. Fresh Air children also participate in year-round leadership and educational programs. The original photograph from this edition comes from a shoot Massimo Vitali did for Vilebrequin, the French luxury swimwear brand, which was later produced as special edition swim trunks.

Italian-born artist Massimo Vitali's long and varied career began with his photojournalism work in the 1960s. During the 1980s, Vitali explored cinematography for both television and cinema, but he soon returned to still photography. Vitali's best-known work is his series of Italian beach panoramas, which reflect Vitali's research into his fellow Italian citizens, as well as his interest in capturing and analyzing how people think and act. The series also proffers questions concerning mass tourism, conformity, and sex. Most of Vitali's photographs depict people at leisure because Vitali believes that these images offer a deeper insight into human behaviors.

Vitali has had many solo and group exhibitions all over the world, including exhibits in France, Spain, Italy, Germany, and the United States. His work has been included in group exhibitions at the Centre Georges Pompidou in Paris as well as at the Tate Modern in London.

All our frames are manufactured in the USA, using eco-friendly and sustainably sourced engineered hardwood for durability and a uniform finish that is free of defects. Frames are available in Black or White Satin and Honey Pecan.

All prints are hinged to a conservation quality, acid-free and lignin-free Alpha Cellulose matboard, using an acid-free linen tape. The mat's surface paper is fade and bleed resistant and is attached to a conservation quality foam-core mounting board that will keep the work safe from deterioration over time. Artworks with a deckled or decorative edges will be floated on the matboard, with acrylic spacers to separate the art from the glazing. All mounting is fully reversible, without any potential damage to the art.

All of our frames come with picture quality .090 mm plexiglass, which blocks 66% of UV to prevent color fading from exposure to light, keeping your art protected for years to come. It is now considered the industry standard for artists, museums and galleries throughout the world.
