1. Bove is best known for her assemblage works, which combine found objects like books, seashells, and peacock feathers (a favorite and recurring material) with simple concrete or metal sculptures as well as works by other artist-friends including Bruce Conner and Wilfred Lang. Her dedication to this subtle approach has earned her a coveted spot in David Zwirner’s artist roster.
2. The piece above refers to Bove’s iconic "Netting" pieces; the Swiss-American artist has used fine nets of silver chain in various pieces in recent years, either hanging them off of other structures as a finished work or draping them over parts of her bigger installations.
3. This signed print comes from a portfolio of 10 works selected as a part of Cubitt Gallery’s Curatorial Fellowship, which supports an emerging curator in developing an 18-month exhibition program. Cubitt is a leading advocate for up-and-coming artists in London, providing studio and exhibition opportunities in support of the city’s art scene.
