Off-Leash is a series of landscape images taken by Todd Matarazzo in Brooklyn's Prospect Park. Matarazzo says, "I am often overwhelmed by the chaos in the streets and tall buildings that surround me in the city, and off-leash hours in Prospect Park provide a rare moment of peace and quiet for me and my dogs. All the pictures were taken during the early morning hours when dogs are allowed off-leash. My dogs and I have rarely missed a morning in the ten years I lived in the city. Most people are unaware that this takes place every day in Prospect Park and Central Park and that New York City is a wonderful place for dogs. I hope my images help other communities throughout the country to adopt off-leash hours so our urban four-legged friends everywhere can enjoy the same fun and freedom."

Todd Matarazzo was born in 1973 in New Jersey. His love for the outdoors took him west to Telluride, Colorado and California. After moving back to New York City at the age of 28, Matarazzo developed an interest in photography and decided to return to school. He received his BFA in Photography in 2010 from the School of Visual Arts in New York, NY.

Walking his dogs in Brooklyn's Prospect Park every morning inspired Matarazzo, and the park seemed to be a natural fit for him and his lens. His work has been shown in group exhibitions at the Brooklyn Museum of Art, The Rising Arts Gallery in Brooklyn, and the Mentor Show at School of Visual Arts Gallery in New York. Upon graduation, he moved to Rochester, NY, with his family, and his work is now mainly in New York City and the Finger Lakes Region.

All our frames are manufactured in the USA, using eco-friendly and sustainably sourced engineered hardwood for durability and a uniform finish that is free of defects. Frames are available in Black or White Satin and Honey Pecan.

All prints are hinged to a conservation quality, acid-free and lignin-free Alpha Cellulose matboard, using an acid-free linen tape. The mat's surface paper is fade and bleed resistant and is attached to a conservation quality foam-core mounting board that will keep the work safe from deterioration over time. Artworks with a deckled or decorative edges will be floated on the matboard, with acrylic spacers to separate the art from the glazing. All mounting is fully reversible, without any potential damage to the art.

All of our frames come with picture quality .090 mm plexiglass, which blocks 66% of UV to prevent color fading from exposure to light, keeping your art protected for years to come. It is now considered the industry standard for artists, museums and galleries throughout the world.
