Artspace is proud to announce a new limited edition silkscreen print by contemporary artist Sanya Kantarovsky, entitled Little Vera (2022).

Sanya Kantarovsky is known for his work across a variety of media, as well as texts and curatorial projects. His widely celebrated figurative paintings are known for drastic shifts in scale, paint application, and stylization.

The new silkscreen Little Vera is a portrait of the artist's daughter and refers to a painting that was included in Kantorovsky's recent solo exhibition Center at Capitain Petzel, Berlin.

Little Vera marks Artspace’s second collaboration with New York-based nonprofit RxART. Proceeds from this sale support RxART’s mission to help children heal through the extraordinary power of visual art. RxART commissions established contemporary artists to transform children's hospitals into engaging and inspiring healing environments full of beauty, humor, and comfort at no cost to the hospitals. RxART has completed 56 projects with 65 artists in almost 40 hospitals across 20 cities in the U.S. since it first launched in 2000.

Sanya Kantarovsky’s (b. 1980, Russia) recent exhibitions include solo presentations at Kunsthalle Basel, Switzerland, and Fondazione Sandretto Re Rebaudengo, Turin, Italy; group shows at Jewish Museum, New York and Sculpture Center, New York; as well as his curatorial project Sputterances at Metro Pictures, New York. A comprehensive monograph entitled No Joke was co-published by Studio Voltaire and Koenig Books in 2016. Kantarovsky’s works belong to prestigious museum collections including Hirshhorn Museum and Sculpture Garden, Washington D.C.; Institute of Contemporary Art/Boston; Hammer Museum, Los Angeles; Los Angeles County Museum of Art; Tate Modern, London; and Whitney Museum of American Art, New York. He currently lives and works in New York.

All our frames are manufactured in the USA, using eco-friendly and sustainably sourced engineered hardwood for durability and a uniform finish that is free of defects. Frames are available in Black or White Satin and Honey Pecan.

All prints are hinged to a conservation quality, acid-free and lignin-free Alpha Cellulose matboard, using an acid-free linen tape. The mat's surface paper is fade and bleed resistant and is attached to a conservation quality foam-core mounting board that will keep the work safe from deterioration over time. Artworks with a deckled or decorative edges will be floated on the matboard, with acrylic spacers to separate the art from the glazing. All mounting is fully reversible, without any potential damage to the art.

All of our frames come with picture quality .090 mm plexiglass, which blocks 66% of UV to prevent color fading from exposure to light, keeping your art protected for years to come. It is now considered the industry standard for artists, museums and galleries throughout the world.
