Eat Drink Vegan

Want to go vegan, Coachella style?

The rock festival’s food event Eat Drink Vegan, comes to Los Angeles at the end of the month

Goldenvoice, the Californian events company, might be best known for its desert music festival, Coachella. However, not all of its events rely on big headline acts to draw in the crowds.

At the end of the month Goldenvoice will stage the fourth annual Eat Drink Vegan event. Held at the Rose Bowl in Los Angeles on 26 May, Eat Drink Vegan is now one of the city’s leading food events, with over 250 varieties of craft beer, wine, craft soda, and other drinks on offer, as well as food from over 75 restaurants, vendors, food trucks and carts.

Eat Drink Vegan began as a beer festival, and still follows that model, with ticket holders receiving a tasting glass upon entry, entitling them to unlimited pours of the beverages at the food festival.

However, don’t overdo it on the booze; Eat Drink Vegan forms part of a citywide plant-based food and wine event, Seed Food and Wine Week. Running 23 – 26 May, the weeklong celebration includes summits, cooking demonstrations, celebrity chef dinners, a five-kilometre run, yoga, fitness programs, and more. Make a few lifestyle changes at Seed, and you’ll be looking pretty by the time Coachella rolls around, next April.
