It was the generosity of Vera and her husband, Albert that enabled the founding of the Vera List Art Project at Lincoln Center in 1962, MIT's List Arts Center in 1982, and the Vera List Center for Art and Politics at The New School in 1992, among others. These institutions joined forces with Artspace and six internationally renowned artists to produce this print portfolio. \u003cbr\u003e \u003cbr\u003e This print by Fred Tomaselli is representative of the artist's recent experimentations with appropriating images from the media and modifying them to manipulate the viewer's perception. The initial response to this work is a purely visual reaction to the intricate design, and it is only upon further examination that the second level of interaction with the political implications of the image emerge.\u003c\/p\u003e","brand":"Artspace","offers":[{"title":"Default Title","offer_id":46959314960484,"sku":"5056880802079","price":900.0,"currency_code":"GBP","in_stock":false}],"thumbnail_url":"\/\/cdn.shopify.com\/s\/files\/1\/0711\/5292\/6820\/files\/fred_tomaselli_3299_ORIG_222ad06a-ef3a-4bc7-b19b-57e70ed624a3.jpg?v=1764694883","url":"https:\/\/www.phaidon.com\/en-int\/products\/july-5-2012","provider":"Phaidon","version":"1.0","type":"link"}
