Piers Handling and Cameron Bailey, co-directors of the Toronto International Film Festival (TIFF) (9-19 September 2010) pick an ecletic mix of the most promising emerging filmmakers working today, from independent cinema to mainstream Hollywood.

Piers Handling says of his selection of five filmmakers:

'I honed in on who I thought would be able to live up to the promise to continue to make films that would really interest me. What I'm looking for most is a distinctive visual creation'

Cameron Bailey said of his selection of five filmmakers:

'I am interested by filmmakers who are able to move among different worlds, and the films they are able to make there.’
