Electa presents the complete edition of the work of Dominique Perrault, who achieved worldwide acclaim with the construction of the Bibliothèque Nationale de France (1997). Born in 1953, Perrault won a series of international awards, including the Grand Prix National d'Architecture (1993) and the prize of the Mies van der Rohe Foundation and the European Parliament (1997). Besides the Bibliothèque Nationale de France, his design career features works of international importance, such as the Berlin velodrome and Olympic swimming-pool (1992-9), where he masterfully succeeded in blending the architectural structures with the surrounding natural environment.
