What are the common causes of technical problems?

The most common cause of problems is that users have turned off the ‘accept cookie’ or ‘cookies enabled’ option in their browser menus. In order for us to provide an efficient service and a secure transaction process, you will need to instruct your browser to accept cookies. If you have done this and you are still experiencing problems, please email webinfo@phaidon.com.

What are cookies and why does Phaidon.com use them?

Cookies are tiny text files that are temporarily stored on your computer when you visit Phaidon.com. They record certain details, such as the contents of your shopping basket, or the currency that you select, so that our server can remember you next time you visit the site and serve you more efficiently. We do not store confidential information in these cookies, and the information we do store is not passed on to any third parties. They cannot harm your computer, or compromise your online security or privacy.

How can I check cookies are enabled?

To shop at Phaidon.com, you must have all cookies enabled. Most computers are sold with cookies enabled, but they are easy to turn on should you need to do so.

3. Click the ‘Custom Level’ button.
4. Scroll down to the ‘Cookies’ section.
5. To enable: Set ‘Allow cookies that are stored on your computer’ to ‘Enable’. Set ‘Allow per-session cookies’ to ‘Enable’.
6. Click ‘OK’.

1. Select ‘Internet Options’ from the View menu.
2. Click on the ‘Advanced’ tab.
3. Scroll down to find ‘Cookies’ within the ‘Security’ section.
4. To enable: Select ‘Always accept cookies’.
5. Click ‘OK’.
