Richard Burdett, Centennial Professor in Architecture and Urbanism at the London School of Economics, is chief adviser on architecture and urbanism for the London 2012 Olympics. Previously, he was architectural adviser to the Mayor of London, a member of the Greater London Authority's Architecture and Urbanism Unit, and he sat on the City of Barcelona's Quality Committee. Burdett was founder of the 9H Gallery and the Architecture Foundation in London. He was Director of the 2006 Architecture Biennale in Venice on Cities: architecture and society, curator of the Global Cities exhibition at the Tate Modern and was chairman of the Jury for the 2007 Mies van der Rohe Prize. He is editor of a new book, The Endless City published by Phaidon in 2008.
Deyan Sudjic is Director of the Design Museum, London and former Dean of the Faculty of Art, Design and Architecture at Kingston University. He was previously editor of Blueprint and Domus magazines, and Director of 'Glasgow 1999:UK City of Architecture and Design' and the Venice Architecture Biennale (2002). Former architecture critic of the Observer, he has written several books including The 100 Mile City (1992), and John Pawson Works and Future Systems, published by Phaidon.
