Date: 10 July 2011
Olympic Photo-Cycle with Toby Smith
Opening hours:
11:30am - 3pm
Cycle along east London's canals to the Olympic Park where Toby Smith, photojournalist and avid cyclist, will be taking a photography course on Sunday (10 July) as part of the London Street Photography Festival (until 31 July).
With just over a year to go before the 2012 London Olympics begin, you can explore the progress of the site while improving your photography skills. The route runs along the Greenway and stops at various points, including the View Tube, an especially constructed bright green building with an observation platform.
The photo-cycle is just one of the events which form part of the London Street Photography Festival designed to champion street photography, a style made famous by photographers including Henri Cartier-Bresson, Joel Meyerowitz and Martin Parr.
