Moving images by Nan Goldin
Highlights from the photographer's slideshow exhibition in Rotterdam
I'll Be Your Mirror is considered to be the most intimate portrait of the life and work of American photographer Nan Goldin. Created in collabration with British documentary filmmaker Edmund Coulthard, the film (released in 1997) also paints a sharp portrait of a generation, reconstructing its disquiet from the extraordinary biographical account of the photographer.
It was presented at the Edinburgh International Festival, the Berlin Film Festival and won the Special Jury Prize at the Prix Italy and the prize for Best Documentary at the Montreal Festival of Films and Art.
The documentary will be presented by Guido Costa, author of two books on Nan Goldin published by Phaidon, at the Museo Regionale di Science Naturale, Turin. Admission to the event is free.
