Corinne Day dies at the age of 48

In July 1990 Corinne Day used a 16-year-old unknown Kate Moss in a fashion story for The Face magazine. The spread kicked off a new style of fashion photography that appealed to those bored of the excessive and hard faced glamour of the '80s.

Having suffered from a brain tumor since August 2009, she finally succumbed to complications as a result of the tumour on 27th August 2010.
