With 'Vegetables from an Italian Garden' you can find out when to plant and how best to use your home-grown ingredients
In honour of the inventive spirit of the urban farmer and in celebration of the recently published cookbook and DIY gardening almanac Vegetables From an Italian Garden, Phaidon Soho will host an evening on how to grow your own produce - even in the most challenging of urban landscapes.
The evening will include a panel discussion on urban farming and sustainable agricultural practices. Instructing on the benefits of regional produce will be film maker and environmental advocate Ian Cheney, founder of Truck Farm, a 1/1000th acre farm-on-wheels, Michael Grady Robertson, owner of Grady’s Farm, a 62 acre farm in the Hudson Valley and Eric Demby, co-founder of Brooklyn Flea and Smorgasburg, the Brooklyn Flea food market.
Join us at Phaidon Soho on Monday, July 25th for the discussion and a cocktail reception after. Doors at 6:30, panel to begin at 7pm sharp.
