Taking its name form the free culture as propagated by the Internet, Free explores the opportunities the www. revolution and the expansion of shared space offer as platforms for creativity.

The exhibition, currently on view at New York's New Museum features works by 22 international artists working in various media: photography, sculpture, video and installation. Following the 'free' credo, the exhibition catalogue has taken the form of an active website which features all of the exhibited artworks along with essays and profiles of exhibiting artists.
