Social Media Third Party Cookies
Web beacons. Our Web pages contain electronic images known as Web beacons (sometimes called single-pixel gifs) and are used along with cookies to compile aggregated statistics to analyze how our site is used and may be used in some of our emails to let us know which emails and links have been opened by recipients. This allows us to gauge the effectiveness of our customer communications and marketing campaigns.
Payment Processing. In order to process payments online we require the billing address for the credit card used and our external payment provider, DataCash, requires your credit card details. We don't store the credit card details on our server but we do store the billing details and a unique reference to your card details on the DataCash server so that you can re-order again without having to re-enter your card details. This is done on a secure DataCash server and data passing between Phaidon Press servers and DataCash are encrypted using SSL (Secure Sockets Layer)
