Star curators define contemporary art

On Monday we brought you an interview with Craig Garrett, the Commissioning Editor of Phaidon’s Defining Contemporary Art book, in which he talked about the disappearance of art movements and globalisation's impact on the contemporary art world. We’ve since caught up with three of the eight world famous curators who picked the pivotal artworks in the book and wrote about how each one changed the course of recent art history. We asked them to reflect on their choices, the experience itself and to give us their thoughts on what the future might look like. 

The video features interviews with Okwui Enwezor, Director of the Haus der Kunst in Munich, Massimiliano Gioni, Associate Director at the New Museum, New York and Artistic Director at Fondazione Nicola Trussardi, Milan and Hans Ulrich Obrist, Director of International Projects at the Serpentine Gallery in London. Consider it an entrée for the main meal that is the book.
