In 1973, William Furlong founded Audio Arts – a groundbreaking audio-cassette magazine of recorded interviews with artists. He tells the story of how he came to interview the most important figures in the world of contemporary art, including Andy Warhol, Tracey Emin and Anish Kapoor and how the book Speaking of Art assembles the best of these interviews to provide four decades of art in conversation.
