The Serpentine Gallery currently hosts the first one-man show in London of artist Michelangelo Pistoletto, whose influential writings and art-works made him a key member of the influential movement of arte-povera which emerged in Italy during the 1950s and 60s.

The Mirror of Judgement installation (until 17 September) is characteristic of Pistoletto's art work in the creation of a whole experience, rather than discreet objects. The large scale of the vast, swirling, cardboard labyrinth, which runs throughout the Serpentine's circle of galleries, alters the viewer's perception of the architecture, while simultaneously inviting each visitor to explore the maze, thus becoming an integral element of the work itself.
