The São Paulo Biennial 2010
This year's theme is inspired by the idea that 'there's always a cup of tea to sail in'
Now in its 29th year, the São Paulo Art Biennial remains one of the most important festivals in the visual arts calendar. Highlights of works on show from some of the 160 international contemporary artists, include: Argentinian-born photographer Alessandra Sanguinetti, Belgian video artist Chantal Akerman and dimensional work by Henrique Oliveira, an artist living and working in the city. As ever, the 2010 festival will be held at the Ciccillo Matarazzo Pavilion in São Paulo, which this year sees the addition of six platforms housing stage and video activities to encourage visitor discussions and interaction.
The 29th São Paulo Art Biennial takes place from 20 September - 17 December 2010.
