Architecture Saturdays, a new initiative for the 12th Architecture Biennale, consists of a series of topical discussions chaired by past directors of the Biennale. The series will bring together some of the most exciting names in design and architecture and cover a wide range of the most important aspects relating to architecture today.

Running fortnightly since the 11th September, topics so far discussed include The Client and Her Architects, a discussion chaired by Deyan Sudjic, Director of London's Design Museum and Life after Metamorph: The Last Six Years of Architecture, led by Canadian architect Kurt Foster, which explored developments in the industry since Foster directed the 9th Biennale in 2004.

On 30 October American critic, author and curator Aaron Betsky, Director of the 11th Biennale, will hold a conversation entitled Beyond Beyond Building, exploring the potential of architecture to contribute to a critical understanding of our environment and question the efficacy of new strategies such as computer technology.
